Dotson outduels Fuqua for Hummer win!

Dotson outduels Fuqua for Hummer win!

Fourth of July means fireworks, that's what Humboldt Speedway provided Friday night. Also, $2000 to win in the McCarthy Auto Group / USRA Modified gave racers an additional bit of motivation. The 30 lap A feature saw Mayetta, Kansas driver Darron Fuqua dominate the high line around the 3/8 mile Humboldt Speedway for 28 laps, until Hallsville, Missouri's Matt Dotson took advantage of a Fuqua bobble and drove to the $2000 payday. MIke Striegel, Tanner Mullens and Cody Schniepp rounded out the top five.
In Outpace USRA B Modifieds, Chanute's John Allen made a late race pass on Webb City's Cody Jolly, to pickup his first B Modified victory at Humboldt Speedway. Ethan Issacs, Brian Bolin and Tim Van Gotten finished out the top five.
In the Pure Stock division, Chanute's Matthew Kay picked up another feature win, outdistancing Bryce Weldon and Brayton Skaggs. Heat race wins also went to Kay and Weldon.
In Street Stocks, Savonburg's Jay Lamons Jr. notched his fifth victory of the 2016 season, he beat out Brad Jarmon and Tyler James who made up the top three.
The Sport Compact class saw a new feature winner this week, with Louisburg's Brian Vohs picking up the win. Dennis and Derryl Aiello rounded out the top three.
Racing returns to the 3/8 mile Humboldt Speedway on July 15th with all five regular classes scheduled to compete. For complete results please check out wwwhumboldtspeedway.com.
