Championship night started off with bang with the opening ceremony and the playing of the National Anthem by guitar player Anthony Schettler. Then the Extrusion Inc. Midwest Mods hit the track. There were only 15 laps and 16 points separating Matthew Kay and Blake Sutton. Sutton in the 99JR got out to an early lead. Well it was a hot one at Humboldt Speedway but still had a good crowd in attendance to watch all of our awesome drivers. The night Kicked off with the Home Savings Bank Factory Stocks we saw a driver pick up his first win in 2023 and the Hummer. The night was a little warm but when the sun went down instead of cooling down it got hotter as the race night went on with people in the stands and great racing out on the track for Merchant Night. It was a great night for the kids at Humboldt speedway as it was there night. The kids at intermission where able to go down on the front stretch at meet all the drivers as we had almost all of our drivers on the front stretch and handing out hero cards and maybe even a special goody bag. Humboldt was super excited to see all of the rain stay away from the race track on Friday night as it was predicted to be raining at 8pm. Mother nature worked with us and let some great racing happen.
