HUMBOLDT, Kan. (May 8, 2026) - The “Hummer” was buzzing on Friday night as the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas hosted the Green Flag Frenzy with 64 race teams checking into the pit area for a night of exciting weekly racing action.
The first USRA division to hit the famed clay oval was the Bryke Racing USRA B-Mods for their 15-lap A-Main event. Local standout Tyler Kidwell once again showed why he is one of the toughest competitors at Humboldt Speedway as he drove the #54 machine to victory lane after leading the field to green from the pole position.
Kidwell had his hands full throughout the feature as Brian Bolin stayed within striking distance for much of the race, but the veteran was able to hold strong and secure another win at his home track. Matthew Kay crossed the line in 3rd, Brian McGowen charged to a 4th-place finish, and Lucas Isaacs rounded out the top-five.
The Allstar Performance USRA Modifieds were next on the program with 16 cars making the call for the feature event. Former USRA B-Mod standout Jon Sheets proved he can wheel a Modified just as well as he did a B-Mod, picking up an impressive victory from the front row outside starting spot.
Sheets paced the field throughout the feature while Chevy Coleman stayed close in pursuit during the caution-free affair. Tad Davis recorded a solid 3rd-place finish while Dakota Dale crossed the line 4th. One of the biggest movers of the race was Paden Phillips, who charged from the 14th starting spot to finish inside the top-five in 5th.
