Humboldt, KS- With the 2016 season only a few weeks away, Humboldt Speedway is pleased to announce the addition of Jeff Fehr to the Humboldt Speedway Team. Jeff will be joining 25 year announcing veteran Scott Stewart in the announcer's booth to bring you all the action at the Hummer. For the seocnd straight year the Humboldt Speedway will kick off its racing season with the Battle at the Bullring B Mod Nationals. Last year Shawn Strong topped an incredible field of 138 cars to capture the $9,000 payday. This race is pre entry only, so be sure to download and fill out your registration form to be a part of one of the biggest Modified events of the entire season. All forms can be accessed in the upper right hand corner of the site.

Humboldt Speedway celebrated the 2016 Opening Night in heart-pumping fashion last Friday night with 76 cars checking in, along with 26 ASCS Red River Region Sprint cars on the 3/8 mile oval. Taking the Checkers in Ray's Metal Depot USRA B Mods was Ft. Scott's Jerry Morgan. Grabbing the McCarthy Auto Group USRA Modified was local Chanute racer Paden Phillips. Humboldt Speedway- With mild temperatures and abundant moisture, Humboldt Speedway saw tight racing on the 3/8th mile oval this Friday evening. Humboldt- Tad Davis had been patient this season, watching fellow Wichita area driver Cody Schniepp take wins while Davis ran second. Fourth of July means fireworks, that's what Humboldt Speedway provided Friday night. Also, $2000 to win in the McCarthy Auto Group / USRA Modified gave racers an additional bit of motivation.
